“He stays on top of everything and I always know where we stand.”Matt B., construction business owner, in a Google review of Jordan Peacock's bookkeeping firm

Outsourced bookkeeper, controller and CFO for contractors

Know your numbers 13 weeks out, checked every Monday.

Books closed by the 10th, profit by job, and a cash forecast checked against your bank every week.

30 minutes, then a one-page summary in 2 business days.

A printed 13-week cash forecast on a contractor's desk beside rolled job plans and a hard hat

The cash gap

Profit on the books. Nothing in the bank.

Payroll and suppliers go out every week. Pay apps come in weeks later, and retainage waits for closeout. So the books can show a profit while the bank runs dry.

A forecast checked every Monday shows week 6 in week 1, while there's still time to chase a pay app, push a purchase or line up the bank.

What we look at on your free review

Three parts, the same three your one-page summary covers.

Your cash

What comes in and goes out over the next 13 weeks.

Your WIP

Which jobs are over billed or under billed.

Your close

How far behind the books are, and why.

Then a one-page summary of all three, with the plan we'd recommend, in 2 business days. It's yours to keep.

Who you work with

“I'd get phone calls on weekends. ‘Hey Jordan, can you look at my QuickBooks for a second?’ That ‘second’ would turn into two hours of untangling miscategorized transactions and explaining why their profit number didn't match their bank balance.”

Every Monday, I check your forecast against your bank. Book the review, and I'll show you what your next 13 weeks look like.

Questions

Is the review really free?

Yes. 30 minutes with Jordan on your cash, your WIP and your close, then a one-page summary in 2 business days. You keep the summary whether you hire us or not.

Do I have to switch software?

No. We work in your QuickBooks.

Do you file taxes?

No. We don't prepare or file tax returns. We work alongside whoever does your taxes, and hand them books that are closed and reconciled.

What should I have ready for the review?

Your bank balance, your open pay apps and your WIP schedule, if you keep one.

What do the plans cost?

$1,750, $3,250 or $6,500 a month. Every plan and what it covers is on one page.

Know your numbers 13 weeks out.

Without a forecast, week 6 shows up as a payroll you can't cover. Picture seeing it in week 1 instead: you call the GC about the late pay app five weeks early, and payroll in week 6 clears without a scramble.
